You mean the Dutch National Triumph Day? I went there and to be honest I don't know why I go as a visitor - I am really not a show person. Maybe next year I'll volunteer to do some parking marshalling or summat if I go again. Maybe part of the problem is I go alone and I don't know many of the others. Didn't see Theo, Roger or Rene.
On the bright side, it was good weather until the end, there was a concours (sponsored by Chattertons fav. polish) and there was a dedicated area for Stags - celebrating 40 yrs of the beasts. I reckon there were 30 Stags, all in good bodily condition except mine. Another reason I steer away from these events is the stereotype Stag owner over here.
In all there were around 360 vehicles that turned up, with around 15 non-Triumphs. TRs and Spits the most in number. There were some trade stands that catered to Triumphs but also things pertainting to English lifestyle - or so they say. A good old fashioned bootsale/jumble on rugs isn't part of it unfortunately.
Dutch National Triumph Day? It's a static show, in fact it's very static. Can't be bothered going there anymore. Especially because I don't like the attitude of most Dutch Triumph owners. It's not the enthousiastic bunch of people like CT. They all think they have the best car in the world and of course all other people have to hear this. It's all about showing off. Which is actually a shame as we have plenty of nice Triumphs around in our country. You hardly see any people that do events like our Nachtrit or Nacht van het Oosten.

Not much to add to Roger's remark, only that most CTH members start to complain if they have to drive more than 50 kilometres

Good job Philip was 12 hours out on his travel plans then....... He was on his way back from Venice/Stelvio and was around Slenaken at 10 pm last night. Dont know what his reaction would have been after 2000km.......

I should have gone, had a donut show on the grass! (on the field that is) Do you reckon they'd be annoyed? Especially the way my car goes places, covered in mud/brake dust, shoes tied to the rear bumper!
