hi all
as i got shot of my 2000 mk1 estate for peanuts(glad to see back of it really)
i bought a dolly 1300 in november,in very good condition with 53000 mile genuine with back m.o.t`s and original receipt
its brown,square headlights,nothing special,i bought it as non-runner but po asured me it does run and it does now with a new fuel pump, and it runs,,,engine run sweet and smooth
not much else to say but roll on good weather

I saw your post on the TDC forum and I found out this was the one you bought from Rob. I saw this car when I came to collect some early 1850 instruments from him. I'm glad it is going to be put back on the road and is a good base for a rolling restoration.

few hours on it today and found a water leak pipe going into manifold,and clutch bites at the floor,started to remove gearbox to change clutch

Is that the long steel pipe that comes out of the back of the water pump and under the manifolds? Fit a stainless pipe and have done with it. Literally fit-and-forget. A complete hose set will give you peace of mind and I'm sure they will all need replacing.

nope,,its the pipe that goes into the inlet manifold,alloy to steel pipe,,,got the stainless pipe for the water pump housing,,,did the on my old 2000 mk1 estate,now on ebay by the new owner

anyone one got a clutch cover for 6.5 inch clutch that they dont wont,,,my pronges are heavly worn

story so far...
rear end completely taken off and checked all ok,cleaned and paint(spray gun`d)new poly bushes fitted and refitted,next is the brakes re-fitting
inlet manifold and carb,,de-crapped the fuel chamber,new gasket fitted,and refiitted back on car and engine running,very pleased  
new points,cond,sparks---timing next
interior all cleaned and hoover with carpet freshener,smells clean  
front suspension and sub frame removed,stript down and ready for cleaning,broke a tie rod,got 2 coming
got new front screen (today) last to be fixed
i got 3 bits of welding to do-my favorite job

well thats all at the moment
