One of my favorite colours for the Dolomite, are prices on the Up for Sprints?

That's fairly big money for a Sprint I'd say, but it does look like a nice one.  Would need a careful look over as those late ones do rot well and it's got lots of shiny new paint......

Yes that foreign Steel that was used from around 1975 (was it Spanish or Italian sourced?) was responsible for more rot on later cars  

The ziebart treatment should have helped though with this one

Mileage quite high but then again it is 37 years old!

I saw a gorgeous Sprint a few years ago at the TSSC Stafford show, it was finished in one of the Stag colours, the yellow/orange colour, not Topaz, can't remember the name

Had a brief chat with the owner, it was a low mileage one and he'd bought it when a couple of years old, it was a Gem and like new inside.

Always liked them, maybe one day

Gary, I believe it was Russian-sourced steel that was used in later Dolomites.

There are 2 shades of yellow. Mimosa (early) and Inca (late). The orange colour will be Vermillion which is another late colour. This Dolomite 1300 is in Vermillion

As far as I'm aware Topaz was not offered for the Dolomite range. The other reds are Pimento and Flamenco.

It was Inca yellow, a lovely shade, thanks for clarifying ref the Steel too

I owned a 1976 Stag in the late 80's and this had rusted out in some very unusual places

Presumably the Leyland Bean counters got on the case regarding the steel supplier and saved £1 per ton by sourcing from Russia
