It is my sad duty to confirm, with Deana's blessing, the very sad news that Martin Randle has died.
I am sure that Deana appreciates all the sentiments that are already being expressed here on the forum, a place where Martin shared with us his wit, wisdom and knowledge over the years.
As I am sure all will appreciate, this has come as an enormous shock to everyone and other than the dreadful news itself there is nothing else to convey.
As arrangements are made I will post them here.

OK, so what's the speed of dark?

I can only express my personal sadness at Martin`s passing
Over the years we had developed a unique sense of humour  what we considered  `whacky` and left us laughing and crying.
Those banters will be sadly missed and it will leave a rather large void in all our lives

After a short discussion ,it has been agreed that we will soon be circulating a book of condolence relating Martin.
We will begin the signing session at the next Pendle and Pennine meeting and after this has been completed by our close knit group of CT and Martin`s colleagues, it will be circulated throughout the whole of the CT area`s for members to add their tributes to Martin.
P and P will advise when the book will be forwarded and to whom.

The next phase of our remembrance to Martin will soon be complete when everybody (that have files) can contribute.
We will soon have a section in our events/photo gallery, whereby anyone can upload photographs of Martin in event mode.
So start searching your files, so you can have your own dedicated contribution to Raiders memory

I never knew him, other than through the forum, but I do remember the funny word and the wit.  Very sad, our condolences to his family and friends.

When I gave Martin a hand with the engine replacement on BRP I managed to take some photos but I'm unable to upload them because they're too big (the joys of 12MP photos!) so I've uploaded them to my Flickr account. The link to the album is HERE

This has to be the best one so I thought I'd post it on here. Raider powered TR7 anyone?

Hi all. After speaking with Deana earlier this evening, we are now entering a period where a little more is known about the arrangements for Martin's funeral.
It is to be held at Skipton Crematorium and all are welcome.
It is also Deana's wish that as many people as possible associated with Club Triumph turn up in Triumph cars (or moderns, just be there) to help celebrate the passing of this special man in our club history.
The cortege will leave the family home and visit the Old Stone Trough where it will collect as many Triumph and classic cars as we can muster, before travelling in convoy to the service at Skipton, then returning to the Old Stone Trough for the remainder of the day.
Sadly, because of the circumstances of Martin's passing, there are certain formalities that must be gone through before a date for the funeral can be arranged, but Deana has suggested that possibly it may take take place sometime during the week commencing Monday the 26th of June, but may be as late as the week after, commencing Monday the 3rd of July.
As things firm up I will post the arrangements here.
It is Deana's fervent wish that as many Triumph and classic cars turn out to join in the celebration of a life well lived, though tragically cut short, but also recognises that it may well be difficult for everyone that would like to attend to actually do so.
Guys, let us put together a fitting send off for our friend Martin, and show his family in what esteem he was held,

OK, so what's the speed of dark?
