Evening all.
A friend recently had his modern serviced, and spotted a Stag awaiting attention. Apparently, it has had a Ford Granada engine conversion some time ago, and the engine mounts are shot. The garage has tried Stag mounts and Granada mounts, and neither fit.
Has anybody experienced this conversion, and any clues as to which mounts would fit?

1978 Dolomite Sprint - first car, and subject to a long term rebuild (wasnt intended to be long term) RBRR 2000, 2002 finisher

1975 Dolomite Sprint - RBRR 2004, 2006 finisher sold and written off��
1972 Triumph Stag - RBRR 2008 finisher sold but may be seen at future RBRRs (come on Nick!)
1978 Spitfire 1500 - bought just for the 2010 RBRR (finisher) but dont want to part with it FOR SALE none the less
1989 TVR 400SE - loud, red, wedgey, bonkers!!

could be anything! The nature of many conversions is that they use whatever is to hand.

Can you post a picture?

When choosing engine mounts for my conversion (zetec in a spitfire) I used ebay as a place to view a huge variety of mounts. Modern stuff is usually too bespoke, but 80's and older offer rich pickings!

Foxy is here, 1500od tax exempt Toledo. Now has the decent engine back in Slant 4 engine bolted in, sprint box and axle.Now has fresh MoT. Needs paint though.
Spitfire Zetec project is started work progressing slooooowly on the road!

Clive so perhaps this could be your new car as you have a liking for Ford engines Triumphs?

Standard engine mounts for a Stag are the same as GT6 ones for people that don't know.

But agree, a trawl through ebay with the old one on the desk would probably find something close.

Just a thought here. Many earlier fords used a round rubber mount with a bit of stud on either side. Very similar to landrover.
Often used in kitcars etc these days. If I were to lay a bet I would say that type is most likely....

But a picture is needed!
