Hi all,

I've seen this last weekend on TR250.
Nylon suspension bushes, looking around and they should have been rubber by the diagrams.

Anyone have seen these ?

wan't this a big mod in the 90s?

i remember replacing the rubber bushes on my TR3 for nylon bushes as they were suppose to give a better guidance as they did not move laterally. Not sure if it was an improvement but it seemed a good idea at the time. I do remember they squeaked after a while.

Yes, TriumphTune were selling nylon bushes for all the cars. Seems to have been replaced by poly bushes these days as "the thing to have".
Must beharder than polyurethane, and may have a place on track cars still I expect.

The various nylon type bushes gave/give a harsher ride and the dimension were rather interesting.

I still have an unused TR4A kit that doesn't fit.

The poly bushes fit well and work a treat.

The original rubber items worked  but aged quickly.

Triumph Tune used to sell harder rubber bushes, I think Shore 70 (or was it 90)? Anyway, fitted those to my GT6 in 1986, only replaced two years ago, very good quality.

Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run (Part of the organising team, what a team)!
RBRR is the best car event in the UK, not probably, it is!

1970 GT6 Mk.2: Royal Blue 6 RBRRs (98, 00,02,04,06 & 10), 2 10CRs (03 & 07). 2 HCRs 1 LCC, lots of Autosolos and numerous track days. Bought in 1983, crikey where did the time go! Now running the Roy Lacey cooling system!

1969 2.5Pi Mk.1: Slate Grey 3 10CRs (05,09 & 15), 3 RBRRs (08, 12 & 16), 3 HCRs, 2 LCCs. A few alloy panels, does need the pi kit fitting. Bought April '04. Needs paint! Just fitted some new 7J Minilites-not copies!

1967 Spitfire mk2: Wedgewood Blue. Bought November 2010. Almost seems civilised. Car has done a RBRR (Dave Picton 2010). Blimey, could be on the road soon!
