It has appeared on their calendar for Monday 18th March.
Full GP circuit, £205. OK, not cheap, but the same as 2 parade laps at Classic Le Mans, and as I was given some cash at Christmas, it seems a good way to blow it
Anybody else? Chris??

Having a serious think about this one, years since I last did a track day, so it could be fun.

Would take the Spitfire......straights might be too long though!!!

Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run (Part of the organising team, what a team)!
RBRR is the best car event in the UK, not probably, it is!

1970 GT6 Mk.2: Royal Blue 6 RBRRs (98, 00,02,04,06 & 10), 2 10CRs (03 & 07). 2 HCRs 1 LCC, lots of Autosolos and numerous track days. Bought in 1983, crikey where did the time go! Now running the Roy Lacey cooling system!

1969 2.5Pi Mk.1: Slate Grey 3 10CRs (05,09 & 15), 3 RBRRs (08, 12 & 16), 3 HCRs, 2 LCCs. A few alloy panels, does need the pi kit fitting. Bought April '04. Needs paint! Just fitted some new 7J Minilites-not copies!

1967 Spitfire mk2: Wedgewood Blue. Bought November 2010. Almost seems civilised. Car has done a RBRR (Dave Picton 2010). Blimey, could be on the road soon!

Think you are right on that one, Pete!

BTW, when we all used to do TDs. it was always fun seeing you and your old race car, what a car that was. Any news on where it is these days?

Tim, go on, you know you would love it!
Besides, straights are only there to join up the corners....(and give the brakes a chance to cool a bit)

Clive do you have to be a member of the MG owners club?

Perhaps I could take the Stag round for a "waft"

No problem Tim, Just bang in a Merlin.  They fit Spitfires, don't they?

I have booked in the Blue and orange devil, so see you there.

Martin, we don't need to be members of MG Car Club, but if you are booking you need to register on the MGoT site and if you are taking a compatible car rather than an MG our agreement with MGoT is that we need to wait for two weeks after booking has opened before we can book. But Clive has already booked for this one !!

If you want to take a Triumph or other marque and you have not been on MGoT days before I suggest you email the event organiser and copy me, telling them that you are a memeber of Club Triumph. They are shown as the Event Manager in the event information.

Cheers, Chris

I remember that day at Oulton Park where the old race car performed quite well, yes it did sound wonderful on full song, after the muffler rusted out it was replaced with another type but never sounded the same
Silverstone TD March 2010 was the day I had my heart attack, and a week later it came back with vengeance
Then the race cars last run was at the Prescott hill climb 4 months later? When I went off and down the bank, backwards
I think I have only down one track day since then and that was in 'Poo' at Snetterton 300
It's a pity I am working on the 18th, though it could be tempting fate!
The old race car is still with the owner I sold it to, it sometimes comes out. She has some work down on it at Robsport from time to time, I saw it down there once a few years ago. I have lost contact with the owner now when my phone died and I lost all my contacts.

Martin

Martin, it would be great to see a Stag on circuit.  I don't recall that we have had one on track before and Silverstone should certainly suit it with good straights and sweeping curves.

The circuit that is not the Stag
