Hi. Looking for some time now for window runner channel guide, the material with steel insert and of correct sizes that goes into the frame with the quarter window. I ordered with some suppliers and only got horrible flexible material that is way to short.
Does anyone know where I can find the correct rigid type? I believe this is very standard material so had hoped this would be easily obtainable, but I have been wrong.
Thank you for help and advice.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother. I recently replaced the old rigid stuff on Tessa's LH door with the "horrible flexible material" as supplied by Canley Classics and the window now works infinitely better than it ever has in the past. Use CC's offering - it may not be totally original but it works well.

Hi Jeroen
If you want to go that way have you looked at Series and early 90/110 Landrover sliding channel material?

Landrovers and early Beetles used the same window channel and I suspect Minis and other cars from the period did too; all you need to do is ask the supplier for the length you require; if the stuff you got is too short, return it for the correct length.

If it was made by man, it can be dismantled and rebuilt by man. Usually just not as easily.
