Club Triumph proudly announces the first Coast to Coast Run for Drive it Day - 21-22 April 2018

The 2018 C2C will start around 5pm Saturday April 21st at Anglesey race circuit with a meal and the opportunity of some sighting laps around the circuit. The run itself then sees us head off across country via an absolute belter of a route taking in some of the best driving roads in Wales and England, arriving at the finish point, Southwold (Suffolk) around 8am the following morning for breakfast. This event will be non-competitive with no complicated navigation and the full route will be given to all entrants in advance of the start.

For anyone out there that is entering the RBRR for the first time, this is an excellent opportunity to give both your car and crew a shake down prior to the event!

For more details, regulations and to enter, please visit the new website, here https://www.clubtriumph.ltd/menu/18746/view

Sounds good Ellis. I've sent Enzo a text, hopefully they'll be an entry in from us later on today!

Any clues on the "on event" mileage?  Just trying to work out whether it would exceed the 530-odd to/from start/finish mileage.  To be fair, the "to" mileage up through Wales will be a fine run in its own right.  The return from Southwold..... not so much!

Hi Nick

I think you're looking at just over 400 miles as per the suggested route - mainly A roads.

Thanks  :).  Shortest route was about 345, but was pretty sure that wouldn't be the Ellis route!  400 is quite moderate really, I was getting up to some quite big numbers when playing around  :P

I haven't figured out how to get on the new website at all yet  :B

Ellis

I might have to check with you on Monday whether your idea of a good driving road in East Anglia matches that that of the locals...:-)

Yah.....! 265 miles for me.  Same to the start.  Guess you must have a very long run to the start though!

Roger,
It looks like you've registered a new account rather than use your existing one so the system doesn't know that you are a member. If you log in as 'Hogie' it should work.

I had the same problem then realised I was not logged in with password...repeated log in, then the ENTER box came up at the top of entrants

I would dearly love to enter this, but the Sunday is the same Sunday that the Clacton Stages road rally (the first closed road rally in England for god knows how long) is on and I'm already committed to that as a marshal.

Am I man enough, or mad enough, to drive to Wales on Saturday, drive back overnight, then spend all day Sunday marshalling on the Clacton event?

Hi Keith,
I received an email saying membership accepted - lo and behold the entry button appeared.  All done.

Sparky - go for it. I will have to drive down to Sussex for a drive it day all day bash.
If you wear sun glasses while marshaling you can shut your eyes
