Does anyone know if the later Triumph 2000/2500 (1964 -77) hub and brakes assembly will fit a '49 1800 saloon spindle please ?

Did you manage to get the parts list or were you pipped at the post?

I've managed to get the Vanguard workshop manual and a spare parts catalogue which I think is for later models.
My fathers car is a earlier version of the renown (Saloon 1800?? Comm no.: TD... ) that has a chassis with round section frame.
The later ones use to be made with square section.

Assumed your car had the 2000 engine (it being a 1949). It must be a very early 1949 saloon. When was it first registered? I know that the Triumph Roadster Club publish a Member's Technical Handbook for the 1800 Model. This, no doubt would be of considerable use to you. Original Owners Handbooks for the 1800 are difficult to source but they do come up for sale now and then. I have no idea what help the Triumph Razoredge Owners Club can be to you- presumably you are a member.

Yes! My father is already a member. But it is hard to get the 1800 info.
The car was first registed in January 1949 (Comm. no. TD3751.DL)

I will post some pictures of the restoration later.

I came across your post in looking for info on renowns,
I have a roadster 2000 and am busy negotiating the purchase of a renown of same vintage.
I saw your pictures and am impressed. The Car I'm looking at needs some restoration as well mainly in trim.... hopefully nothing to the extend of your car

I do have a pdf owner manual but it is for the 2liter cars.

However I think I have a parts catalog for the 1800 model, it came with the roadster, together with the owners manual for the 1800 roadster. These are not (yet) in pdf.
Half June I will be back home and scan the book for you, if you are still interested.

What i do have here with me is some part lists for Lucas equipment. If you would like I'll mail those

I have managed to get some manuals and info but most of it is for general Triumphs and Standards of that period and for the Renown (2 litre).

I would of course appriciate (and a lot  :)) if you could send me the 1800 manual as soon as you have it scanned to pdf.

If you need any help with your restoration feel free to ask and I will be glad to help (if I can...)

About the Roadster, the only thing that I have is a hi resolution copy of the original wiring diagram that, if you are interested, I can send to your email.

I missed your post,
AFAIK not without major modifications.

I have know of a Roadster equipped with disk brakes off a Citroen (Berlingo?) which are a fairly easy swap for a competent mechanic but this was a 2000 and not 1800

The brakes are rather peculiar on these cars, as you have possibly found out or you would not be asking the question.
