I have been scanning some documents for Ted Taylor and amongst the many Triumph brochures etc was this old book "Triumph Cars" by T P Postlethwaite which deals with the cars built before and just after the second world war. (post 1937 and post 1945)

Short of the original workshop manual for the Vanguard (later amended to include also the renown) this is the best "handy" sized manual available.

round the bend might be the best place to be.
