Hi I am new to the club. I have a GT6 that is down on the drivers side. I thought I would isolate the problem by jacking the front then the back to see which end had the problem. Trouble is the was low both times. Is there anyone with any idea where to look?

It's quite possible that both ends have picked up a driver's side sag. The cars often spend a lot of time with only the driver in and the uneven load results in uneven wear. On the front, the usual culprit is the anti-roll bar, which gets twisted with time. It's also possible that the road springs have aged differently, which can often be cured by swapping them. It's easiest to swap the shocks too, so that you don't have to use spring compressors. On the rear, it depends which model. Late Mk3 had the swing spring, which doesn't contribute much roll stiffness so isn't usually the culprit. All the others can suffer from broken leaves or general uneven wear. The other common culprit at the back is seized trunnion bushes (or incorrectly fitted ones, or the crush tube being too short) which resists any suspension movement. This doesn't make it lean of itself but means that any lean it has acquired from other sources (e.g. the front suspension) stays there when you jack the front up.

That date of registration suggests a late one but it's easy to tell. Crouch down and take a look under the rear. If it has chunky lower wishbones then it's an earlier, "Rotoflex" model. If there's just the drive shafts it's a late, "swing spring" one.
