Hello Chaps,
I've just popped over from the Herald/Vitesse section as I'm looking for a part that was fitted to Dolomites. I'm after the pull/push hazard light switch for use on my Herald, does anyone have one spare they'd like to part with? The ones on eBay all seem to very expensive.

They are expensive as they were bloody unreliable. The contacts corrode badly, and it stops the hazards and normal indicators working.

I have removed them from all my cars that had them. What isn't fitted doesn't have to work for an MOT.. :-)

Long Shot Here:  Can't say about England and your parts stores.  In the States their is aftermarket supply called J. C. Whitney.  They did sell a under dash hazard push-pull unit complete with its own flasher.  6 wire hook up, power, earth and one wire to each (ft & rear) wire.  Easy hook up.  If you would want something like this, Google J. C. Whitney, look around.  If you want and they will not ship and if you hurry, ship here and I will bring it next month.  I will leave the states Sunday Sept 1.  
I have a old one, used without the mounting bracket, no longer shiney but I believe it works.  Free if you want it.  It can be mounted through a hole in dash provided you have room behind for the unit with flasher.

For those reading this.  I have in the past brought parts and things, gallons of oil/lube and even a intake manifold.  However this time the wife is also coming and I will only have limited space.  

Thanks for the replies so far. The story here is I already have one of these switches, but it appears to be kaput. I have Designed & built my centre console to accommodate this type of switch, and am disappointed to find this one doesn't work. The cheapest brand new one I've seen is £26 inc p&p, which I think is quite a lot for a switch but the average price is £45 so not a cheap part.

Got an NOS one for a fiver at Stoneleigh, but back in the day, Ford ones were the sexy after market fitment.

Have you tried pushing and pulling the switch in a few times. That usually cures the problem. If you still need one I can ask on the TDC forum for you.

You mean one of these? Removed from a Dolomite many years ago, yours for postage / packing if you want it.
