Get yourself a copy of the 'brown bible' - 'TR6 Repair Operation Manual' - about £30 but worth it (cheaper on cd-rom). Also, a copy of the TR5/6 Moss catalogue (free) is an excellent technical resource. |

I would suggest that 65 LB /FT is more than adequete ... overtightening ruins the wheel and strecthes the studs , sometimes leading to failure ! |

I'm not sure why Triumph engineers specified 80lbs if that was likely to lead to your wheel falling off? On the other hand, I know a few folks who've had problems with loose wheel nuts! |
