I expect it would be OK but Canley Classics would know for sure, ask them. David Pearson has several big saloons in his collection. PLEASE help us to maintain a friendly forum, use Report post button if you see anything you are unhappy with. Thanks. |

I have not personally dealt with SCParts but was considering buying from them until I did a search on their reputation. http://www.gtsix.co.uk/ |

My only attempted dealing with them was when I urgently needed a part for our Mini. I phoned up, they refused to do anything until I had registered. So all my details etc. I then asked if they had the part in stock, yes. OK, will drive over and pick it up. Nope, has to be sent form wherever. I was furious, 15minutes of my life wasted. My water pump housing is from them. I haven't tried it on a running engine yet so can't comment as to whether it works well or not. 1974 Triumph Spitfire 6 project 1973 Triumph Spitfire Slant 4 pre-project 1978 Triumph Spitfire (not sure of the plan yet) 1992 Jaguar XJ40 4.0l manual 1989 Jaguar XJ40 3.6 (parts car, squashed by a tree) 1999 Alfa 156 V6 1992 Citroen BX 19 TXD 1996 Lada Niva 1998 MG F VVT 1972 MG B GT (will be a Baja B eventually) 1987 Fiat X1/9 Uno Turbo |

I have a alloy pump housing on my GT6, bought from Canleys, fit and forget! Club Triumph Round Britain Reliability Run: Part of the organising team, and honoured to be associated 1970 TR6 Maroon. Bought May 2018. Since pruchase: Full suspension re-build, new clutch and propshaft plus re-built driveshafts. Goes well. Blimey, lots more done now, gearbox replaced (Canley Classics unit), 7J black minilites c/w Uniroyal tyres (Crikey, un-stickable), Revington's Targa springs. Now needs some engine work and some brakes. Otherwise, well on its way to becoming a Club Triumph type car, i.e. one that is actually used! Previously owned: Triumph Dolomite Sprint (Now owned by Paul Hughes) Herald 1200 Coupe on mk2 chassis (Now owned by Jess Cook and being properly used) Vitesse mk2 Conv: Sold in 1983, still on the road! Various Citroens and Pugs DD: Focus ST Diesel...torquey! |

I agree with Tim I have a Canleys one on my 2.5 Spitfire no issues with it. I would suggest Canleys over Soc even though SOC are closer. |

Quoted from BiTurbo228 That confirms what I had been told by a GT6 owning customer of ours (his was a little heavier still). Other housings avialable from other sources are generally 100-200 grams lighter. What do I know? http://www.canleyclassics.com/our-museum/ |

picked up my alloy water pump housing from the post office this morning, it has come from Buchholz Germany, so i presume it from Bastuck, any way opened up the package looks well made at first but it has no thread where the heater return pipe fits, and barely any threads in the temp sender hole and the hole opposite, got straight on the phone to sccarparts he asked me to email pictures of it which i did, phoned back half an hour later to check he had received the email he said he would have to check the other alloy pump housings first before he sends me another and would get in touch with me in the week. plus il have to post the dud one back to them, so im waiting now, i bought this through ebay with pay pal so i can sort any problems via ebay but can i get my money back from pay pal if i need to? 1972 Mk2 2.5 PI on carbs |

In my experience eBay tend to find in favour of the buyer and pay them a refund. The refund goes to the buyer and eBay pulls the money from the sellers account. I speak as a former seller who on occasion, had to pay refunds for goods not returned to me or where the buyer claimed not to have received them. PLEASE help us to maintain a friendly forum, use Report post button if you see anything you are unhappy with. Thanks. |

Yeah, I got done a few times - sold 6 meters of braided hose, on a signed for thing, the buyer said they never recieved it, even though it had been signed for. Then I had to give them a refund for £35. That put me off selling on ebay. 67 2000 - Fitted with 2.5 o/d - 2012 RBRR, 2015 Essex Rally, 2016 HCR, 2016 RBRR 67 2000 Estate - Dormant 70 Herald 13/60 - First car, many bits 77 CZ 125 Sport - 70 miles on the clock 77 Kawasaki KM90 - Shop hack 81 Yamaha DT125 - Many bits 88 Ginetta G4/4 - Dead 88 BMW E30 320i - For Sale 89 Citroen AX GT - Rally car! 90 BMW E30 318iS - Building to FIA spec 90 Mazda Eunos 1.6 - 'Popeye' 93 BMW 530i - Donor 95 BMW E34 540i - 4L V8 |
